There’s nothing more romantic than Italian food. -Elisha Cuthbert
To be honest, I wish I had taken more photos of our dining experiences here in Como – but let’s be real… eating trumps photos, especially when it’s Italian food. However, I did manage to capture the important ones ;).
Upon our arrival to Villa D’Este, they had a bottle of Champagne already chilling, house-made treats, and a lovely hand-written note. So, I would say our stay here started off pretty perfect!

Our first night in Lake Como, we dined at the resort’s casual restaurant, Grill. The food was AMAZING and of course, any place that offers truffle, we order. I completely got sidetracked with the food and forgot to take any photos of the wonderful truffle pasta…. so you’ll have to trust me that it actually existed, it was delicious and we ate it all. I did, however, capture our appetizer and desserts.

Café and croissants every morning on our balcony is what dreams are made of… I’m certain of it.

We had many amazing meals in Cernobbio, but this place was our top – ambiance, food, and service was spectacular. If you’re planning a trip to Lake Como, Il Gatto Nero must be on your list of restaurants.

Lunches at Villa D’Este did not disappoint.
Another one of our top recommendations in downtown Cernobbio is Ristorante Terzo Crotto. Cute, quaint, and the food was fabulous. No photos, but I did take one of our wine – priorities 🙂
