TASTE OF FLORENCE

Florentine cuisine is surely something worth discovering. I believed I learned a lot about Florentine culture and traditions from observing how they live their relationship with food. -Elaine Bertolotti

When in Italy, we always, always, always want pasta with fresh truffle. We knew nothing of the famous florentine steak, and once we got a taste, we absolutely had to have it included with our pasta dishes.

Our first stop in Florence was Il Barretto. Originally the first Harry’s Bar of Florence, it has maintained it’s intriguing and seductive atmosphere of the sixties. Located in the heart of city and just steps from Ponte Vecchio, it is a restaurant cherished for its refined and discrete ambiance as well as it’s flavorful and thoughtful cuisine.

“We enhance the oil by mixing the culinary art with the Tuscan culture in a journey that becomes a sensory experience.” – Chef Andrea Mazzei

Locale Firenze is creative Tuscan dining and inventive cocktails in a 1500s palazzo with a 13th-century basement.

”With hope that our choice of the best products and the care we’ve taken in elaborating them with competence and passion, can transform these dishes into your surprising adventure.” – Simone Caponnetto
