Venice is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs in one go. -Truman Capote
We arrived in Venice happy and HUNGRY… so what did we do? Go in search of pizza, of course! And it was even better than we remembered. Sitting outside, under the canopy in the humid summer heat, enjoying our glass of wine and margherita pizza, people watching. We had made it.

Our friend João loves Venice and has visited many times, so he gave us his favorite restaurant – Enoteca Mascareta. Hidden in the deep alleys of Venice, it seemed like a local secret, which we love! We were so hungry and the pasta was great, I forgot to take pictures lol. It’s silly, but one of my favorite things was a little message on the menu… critiche e complimenti in diretta. I knew right then this place had to be good.
Normally, we love to find a bakery and have our espresso and croissant there, but it was so hard to pass up breakfast at Hotel Danieli… rooftop seating overlooking everything. It was spectacular! Plus, their fruit plate in the morning was nothing I have ever seen nor experienced.

Our final night in Venice was the most special. Before dinner, we listened to jazz with a glass of wine in Piazza San Marco. Our special dinner was at the original Harry’s Bar! This night was special to us for a few different reasons… We looooove Cipriani’s downtown New York, so coming here was an absolute must. Plus, it’s where we read our own personal vows to each other. And as you can guess, the food and experience was nothing short of spectacular.

Not pictured of our absolute favorite (I think I ate it too quickly before remembering to snap a photo) – the baked tagliolini with ham.
