Venice never quite seems real, but rather an ornate film set suspended on the water. -Frida Giannini
Our first stop on our whirlwind Italian honeymoon… the beautiful city of Venice.
Pre-dinner canal strolls – plus, seeing Piazza San Marco for the first time was so magical and mesmerizing!

Post-dinner canal strolls means getting lost. This was probably one of our favorite moments (there were many) of Venice… my feet thought otherwise, but winding through the narrow alleys along the canals at night is something I will never forget. You really do feel like you’re in a movie.

When in Venice, you MUST take a gondola ride. We felt like we were in an old romance movie! We loved it so much, we did it twice! Plus, it’s a fantastic way to see the city.
More exploring… I just love the different colors, design and texture of the architecture. It’s almost sensory overload, but I’m in such awe that my heart bursts with joy.

Romantic evening in Venice… starting with wine and jazz in Piazza San Marco, followed by dinner at the original Harry’s Bar. If you need an idea of what to do in the evenings, jazz on the square is perfect! There are multiple areas around the square with different jazz groups and seating areas, so you can “jazz hop” throughout the whole square if you like (and for free!)! It was so romantic sitting there with my honey drinking our wine (or prosecco or aperol spritz) listening to some beautiful music, taking in the gorgeous scenery around us. We were in ITALY living a dream!

Loved staying in the gorgeous Hotel Danieli. It’s a Starwood hotel, so gather and use those points! Definitely a must-stay hotel.
