GREECE

It takes a lifetime for someone to discover Greece; but it only takes an instance to fall in love with her. -Henry Miller

The annual Engel & Völkers Top Agent trip was set to be in Athens, Greece this year and we were very fortunate to be a part of this wonderful experience once again!

So off to Greece we go! We spent a few days relaxing on a couple of the gorgeous Greek Islands – Mykonos and Santorini. Both breathtakingly beautiful. I’m not sure what I expected of Greece (except for everything blue and white), but it exceeded my expectations. It’s difficult to say which one is better; however, I will say for the very brief time we spent on Santorini, it was our favorite :).

MYKONOS

Our first stop was Mykonos for two and a half hours days. We stayed at the gorgeous Branco Hotel. Beautiful location situated right on the beach and walking distance to the ever popular beach club, Scorpios. We were about a 10-minute cab ride away from Mykonos Town as well. We loved it! Highly recommend anyone traveling to Mykonos to check out this hotel. The rooms are fabulous, food is delicious, the hotel DJ plays the best music and the service is top notch!

Our days were spent lounging by the pool, beach walks and dips on the Aegean Sea, and strolling through town. Unfortunately, we did not get to experience Scorpios this time but it’s on the top of our list for our next visit.

We spent the next two afternoons strolling the cute streets of Mykonos Town, and everywhere you turn is a photo opportunity! I mean, EVERY CORNER. No cars are allowed because of the narrow cobblestone streets, so it’s perfect. It reminded me a little of Venice, with all of the alleyways and easily getting lost. I was so mesmerized by the splash of colors on the white buildings – I felt like I was walking in a painting.

A must-do in Mykonos is sunset at 180 Sunset Bar! You have 180° of breathtaking views while a live band plays in the background. It’s the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink/snack. If you don’t do anything else in Mykonos, do this!

Paul and I wanted to have some professional photos taken of us on vacation since it’s hard for us to get really good ones of the two of us. I found out about Flytographer from Instagram, which provides professional photographers all over the world! So I booked us a fun mini one hour photoshoot while we were in Mykonos. We in the cute streets, around Little Venice and the windmills. If you guys want great, professional photos of you done while on vacation – solo or with your significant other – I highly recommend checking them out! It was definitely worth it.

SANTORINI

Our final stop before the Top Agent event in Athens was the magical island of Santorini. We instantly felt a connection with this island – it’s so magical! The cliffs are speckled with the traditional white Greek buildings which make the island look as if snow had fallen on top. Only having one night here was not enough, but it was enough of a teaser for us to know we are definitely coming back. I will say for our one night, we did it in style. We stayed at the lovely Grace Hotel, located high above the sea in the cliffs. Beautiful boutique hotel with the most incredible (and largest) negative-edge pool on the island. It also has the best sunset viewing point! We stayed in one of their honeymoon suites, which was so dreamy I wanted to move in! If you guys are looking to stay in an epic spot in Santorini, look no further than the Grace… I promise you will not be disappointed.

Spent our afternoon unwinding at the pool, which was very easy to do.

Santorini is known for their epic sunsets and it did not disappoint! Grace has the best viewing sunset spot and it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.

ATHENS

The last leg of our trip and for the Top Agent Event. We stayed at the lovely Divani Apollon Hotel in the new Athens Riviera, with its own private beach access.

The opening night was set at the gorgeous Lake Vouliagmeni in the south of Athens. It was stunning!

Of course, we couldn’t be in Athens and not go to the Acropolis! A must when visiting Greece – the history is fascinating.

Awards night was held at the newly built and fabulous Four Seasons. The venue was stunning… absolutely stunning! And my wonderful husband was #1 worldwide for the second year in a row! It was such a wonderful evening celebrating the success of each and every one of these fabulous people we are lucky to call friends! Thank you, Engel & Völkers for always treating us like royalty and putting on one hell of a party!
